Scrap the Girls March DT

New layout for March Scrap the Girls challenge.

The inspiration for this layout comes from the moodboard which you can find on Scrap-The-Girls blog. As you can see I have used red flowers and printed pages as my main theme.

I made this layout by hand drawing flowers on old dictionary pages. I hand cut these out.

I also colored some acetate shapes (Kaisercraft) with alcohol markers.

These were then all layered along with fabric, and other embellishments.

Have a go at the challenge here.
cheers!

Scrap the Girls February DT challenge

This month we have a beautiful color combo and images to inspire creativity. I have used the colors, metallics, dots and splatters to inspire my layout.

Here's the moodboard

To make this layout I used patterned paper to start with. I  sprayed a Kaisercraft spray for added color,  stamped (Tim Holtz stamp), and used acrylic paint for splatters. I foiled veneers and chipboard in rose gold and layered these together with paper doily, gauze (dyed), die cuts, Kaisercraft die cuts and other items from my stash.

Here's some close ups-

Scrap the Girls DT January

2020! Brand new year and maybe more scrapbooking??
To start the year off, Scrap the Girls have a colorful beginning. Here's my layout:

Here's the inspiration for the layout

No photo description available.

It's easily seen how I got my inspiration! I started with making a page using Brusho's that was going to be my background  but it was way too "busy." I cut pieces down and used them instead along with the Graphic 45 matching papers. I stamped my paper and added some Kaisercraft die cuts, handmade flair, chipboard, vaneers and my hand made felt circles - stitched!
A lot of fun!

Scrap the Girls December DT

How did the end of the year sneak up so quickly?
Time for a Christmas theme, but this time with a not so traditional colour scheme. Here is my take:

And here is the mood board that gave me inspiration for this month's Scrap the Girls challenge which you can find here.

I used some of my traditional pointsettia dies to create flowers (Kaisercraft), and layered among various papers and veneers. I also used a tim holtz thinlit die and a scribbling of Gelatos.
Whilst I love the colors, my little reindeer was wearing traditional Christmas colours which didnt look so good on my page. It was an easy fix to change my photo to black and white to make my layout. Twinkle all the way!

Merry Christmas!
Cheers!
