This month Scrap the Girls goes for some unusual patterns. Here's my take on the mood board-

Here's the mood board

The layout was made by stenciling colored texture paste over an acrylic painted background. Torn paper strips, chipboard and die cuts were layered to build the page. Here are some close ups.

Scrap the Girls design team for May

In some part of the world it must be spring, so here are spring flowers. This is my take on the Scrap the Girls sketch for this months challenge.  Pinks and greys and butterflies.

To make this layout, I first stamped the page and spread a little paint around.
I painted and stamped some tags-
Along with some papers to use behind my photo.
This months sponsor for the challenge at Scrap the Girls - Cut to You Created by Gwen provided the files for the flowers. I cut these and applied paint.

The layout was assembled with the addition of a few more embellishments and butterflies cut from cardstock.
Here's the sketch for May.

Scrap the girls DT for March

Well it's all about the 90's movies this month. I was thinking about Titanic after the floods but Jurassic Park won out. The movie that keeps going...

The layout is made with die cuts, chipboard among other items from my stash. Scrap the girls challenge can be found here. Use inspiration from a 90's movie for your next layout.

Scrap the girls DT

Hi it's Anne here
with a new Friday layout made for this months challenge at Scrap the Girls.  Ive used A2Z Scraplets bubble stickssteel mesh and funny wordlets.

Image may contain: 1 person, text

To make this layout the A2Z Scraplets steel mesh and bubble sticks were heat embossed.

The A2Z Scraplets funny wordlets were painted in pink acrylic paint.

The background to this layout was made by applying texture paste through a stencil. I also printed the page.

My embossed A2Z Scraplets were arranged on the page, together with wood vaneer pieces, fabric, lace, artstones, pearls, and a few other embellishments. I also splattered a bit of paint around too.

Cheers!

Scrap the girls May challenge

This is my layout for Scrap The Girls challenge for May.

I've used Kaisercraft paper for this layout and layered a variety of fabric, die cuts that have been embossed with Stampendous Aged embossing powder, and chipboard over a painted and stamped background.
I've used the birthday girl T-Shirt from the mood board as my inspiration that I have copied and printed on to my page. I've also used this to make a flair.

Plenty of time to join the challenge over here!

I finished my layout with additional embellishments including resin hears, padded heart and beads from my stash, and some metal crown, feather and key.

Cheers!

Scrap the girls April Challenge

I very happy to be the latest member of the design team for Scrap the Girls. This months Scrap the Girls challenge is all about you! (or me in this case!). This is my take on the challenge.

I'm hardly the Domestic Goddess but I did make that cake! This layout was made with stenciling with Nuvo paste, addition of die cuts from Kaisercraft  Textured weather die, Kaisercraft vaneers, tags, and mesh fabric.

I then applied cardstock photo mats, Funky Flairs die cut and A2Z Scraplet heart border.

The A2Z Scraplet  was cut in two,  painted and coated in fine glitter.

Embellishments including art stones and Vanilla Orchid flair, completed the layout.

Come and join the challenge over here.

Cheers!

Magical Moment

Todays layout was inspired by Scrap the Girls blue moodboard and uses two pieces of A2Z Scraplets, Border  10 and the Magical Moment word from the new January collection.

I made the background to my layout by first applying blue acrylic paint to patterned cardstock using a dry brush. I then applied many squares of cardstock, canvas, hessian, chipboard and acetate, layered around the centre of the page.
The A2Z Scraplet, Border 10, was cut into three pieces. All pieces were painted in blue acrylic paint and arranged to provide a frame for the photo and a balancing embellishment

The second A2Z Scraplet Magical Moment title was also painted and  Kaisercraft Collectables provided the final embellishments to the page.

Cheers!
