Scrap the Girls DT August

Another month, and another layout. This time using the Instagram logo as inspiration. Here's my take.

I've used the square photo from Instagram as the focus.

I'm liking the colors of the photo and used those for my elements. Die cuts using a Couture Creations die, fabric, Coco Vanilla die cuts and others along with my fav Art Stones. Here's some close ups.

Well a new challenge for the month of July for Scrap the Girls. Here is my take on the color mood board.

As you can see I have included all the colors on my layout. Ive used Kaisercraft die 'Love". Stamped the background and layered die cuts and embossed chipboard. Here are some close ups.

Scrap the Girls DT for June

This month Scrap the Girls goes for some unusual patterns. Here's my take on the mood board-

The layout was made by stenciling colored texture paste over an acrylic painted background. Torn paper strips, chipboard and die cuts were layered to build the page. Here are some close ups.

Scrap the Girls design team for May

In some part of the world it must be spring, so here are spring flowers. This is my take on the Scrap the Girls sketch for this months challenge.  Pinks and greys and butterflies.

To make this layout, I first stamped the page and spread a little paint around.

I painted and stamped some tags-

Along with some papers to use behind my photo.

This months sponsor for the challenge at Scrap the Girls - Cut to You Created by Gwen provided the files for the flowers. I cut these and applied paint.

The layout was assembled with the addition of a few more embellishments and butterflies cut from cardstock.

Scrap The Girls DT for April

Here's my take on this months challenge over at Scrap the Girls. Dress like your going to meet your ex boyfriend. As I said..my take on it anyway....

Crazy! Anyway, to make this layout I used Ultimate Crafts paper "Ooh La La". I applied tissue.
.

I then stenciled texture paste using a Kaisercraft stencil and applied gesso.

I then added a variety of embellishments. Here is a couple of detail photos.

Well it's all about the 90's movies this month. I was thinking about Titanic after the floods but Jurassic Park won out. The movie that keeps going...
