Emma Wiggle

This layout has been made with inspiration from  Scrapbook Boutique's Moodboard for April's Challenge. Its black and white with YELLOW!

The layout uses A2Z Scraplets Chain Mesh 8 x 8 inch panel and Emma Wiggle word

To make this layout I first layered cardstock and papers.

I then applied texture paste through a stencil.

I prepared the A2Z Scraplet  Chain Mesh panel piece by inking. I did the same for the Emma Wiggle word.

I then layered die cuts from yellow and black cardstock and arranged them with colored cheesecloth under my photo. I completed with layout with flower, resin embellishments and yellow and black bows from my stash.

Cheers!

Lest We forget

With ANZAC day a few days away I have made two layouts.
The first page has been made with inspiration from ARTastic Challenge for April. Black and white  with one color. Red for poppies.

The layout uses A2Z Scraplet "Lest We Forget"

ARTastic Inspiration - Poppies by Karen Neal

My second page has been made using A2Z Scraplet Soldier Standing Shape.

I've used specialty paper from Feature Art for both layouts. On the first layout, I painted my title in acrylic paint. I've used black for the words and crimson for the poppy. I applied some Prills to the center of the poppy and used glossy accents over the piece for shine.

To complete my page I have used die cut leaves, Heartfelt Creations poppies, Prills and hessian.

My second layout I made poppies from bookpaper. Once the paper was painted, the poppies were die cut and assembled. Prills were used for centres.

The chipboard was painted with acrylic paint then distress ink applied.

I arranged the die cuts poppies around the photos.

This ANZAC day we will be remembering those who gave their lives.

Amazing Scrap the boys April Challenge

This layout has been prepared for Scrap the boys challenge using A2Z Scraplets Amazing border word and chain mesh texture 8x8 inch

This challenge was about using geometric shapes and the A2Z Scraplets chain mesh chipboard matched my Couture Creations die, Kaisercraft stamp and Kaisercraft and In my Minds Eye pattered papers which I've teamed up here.

I prepared the A2Z Scraplet chain mesh by cutting it into a few pieces. I still have quite a bit left over to use in another layout. I coated the pieces in patina paste and sprinkled blue micro beads into the paste.

My A2Z Scraplet Amazing word border which I've used as a title was painted in teal acrylic paint. After drying, I applied Versa Mark ink to the base of the letters and sprinkled  Stampendous Hunter Aged distress embossing powder, then heat set.

The background to the layout was made by stamping using a Kaisercraft stamp "Morocco" and Versa fine ink in Teal Zeal. I then fussy cut some Graphic 45 images and glued  these to my page. I die cut cardstock and applied embossing powder to the die cuts. I also used some baseball rub-ons to my layout.

I splattered paint over the completed layout and applied additional embellishments including Coco Vanilla flair and veneers.

Cheers!

Scrap the girls April Challenge

I very happy to be the latest member of the design team for Scrap the Girls. This months Scrap the Girls challenge is all about you! (or me in this case!). This is my take on the challenge.

I'm hardly the Domestic Goddess but I did make that cake! This layout was made with stenciling with Nuvo paste, addition of die cuts from Kaisercraft  Textured weather die, Kaisercraft vaneers, tags, and mesh fabric.

I then applied cardstock photo mats, Funky Flairs die cut and A2Z Scraplet heart border.

The A2Z Scraplet  was cut in two,  painted and coated in fine glitter.

Embellishments including art stones and Vanilla Orchid flair, completed the layout.

Come and join the challenge over here.

Cheers!

Hoppy Easter

Hoppy Easter!
In celebration, I have a layout using A2Z Scraplets frame 105,  flourish 14, and Harlequin of 3 set

Photo from Save the Bilby Fund

I built up the background to my layout using flowers, leaves, a variety of papers, metal embellishments, art stones, fibres, paint and die cuts.

My A2Z Scraplets were painted then coated in fine glitter.

I used one of the harlequin pieces, cutting it in two and then I placed these at the back. I centered the flourish with the frame.

Cheers!
